Beautiful – The Carole King Musical

“The entire musical is amazing! My experience seeing it at The LC was extra special since the lead actress playing Carole King, Kennedy Caughell, not only blew me away with her incredible voice, but she previously portrayed my absolute favorite musical character ever – Elphaba in Wicked in the Broadway National Tour – and I got to interview her!” —Taylor

“I’m Here” from The Color Purple

“This is one of the most powerful songs I have ever seen on the stage, and I’m so glad we got to see it in Fort Collins.” —Alison

Tig Notaro

“This is one of my favorite Tig Notaro sketches. It’s called 6th Grade Music Class.” —Rachael

“La Vie Boheme” from RENT

RENT is my all-time favorite musical and I will always jump at the chance to see it when I can! That’s why I loved that the anniversary tour came to The Lincoln Center. This was a great performance and the actors were very talented!” —Megan

“Barbara Ann” by The Beach Boys

“This is a legendary song that one of my favorite bands, The Who, played. The Who drummer Keith Moon loved The Beach Boys and there was a lot of crossover in the way their songs and harmonies worked. Brian Wilson briefly met a few of the Box Office people when he was walking around, including me!” —Katie

“Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” from Jersey Boys

“A classic song that lifts the musical out of the end of the third act.” —Katie

“Say It To Me Now” from Once

“Such an underrated song in a deeply lovely musical.” —Katie

“Scotch and Soda” performed by The Manhattan Transfer

“I would have loved to see The Manhattan Transfer. They do a cover of ‘Scotch and Soda’ which was originally done by the Kingston Trio. It is a classic. The Manhattan Transfer was at The Lincoln Center in 1992 and 2016.” —Liz

“A Musical” from Something Rotten

“WE ARE” by Jon Batiste

Jack’s pick: Jon Batiste performed at The Lincoln Center in 2013.

“Hard to Be the Bard” from Something Rotten

“I loved Something Rotten – skewering Shakespeare, celebrating musicals, and the quick witty lines! The roadshow was good, still love the Christian Borle version the best!” —Robin
